There are factual errors in their article. I can't believe how sloppy a professional newspaper can be.
1. They say that gay marriage advocates are in the courts because Arnold S. vetoed the gay marriage bill. This is false. Arnold vetoed the bill in Sept. 05. They filed their lawsuits in March 04 in conjunction with the San Francisco gay wedding march, right after the state supreme court stopped them.
2. They say that states such as Calif. should take the lead because of a Supreme Court disinclined to take action. They misunderstand the role of courts. The Supreme Court doesn't just sit there and pass judgements. They have to wait for a case to come before them. The gay activists have wanted to avoid going to Federal court until they get more states to legalize gay marriage at the state level.
I sure wish they would get their facts correct. People read the papers and believe what these guys print.

More like a "VICTORY" for marriage "justice". A victory for those who would espouse to defend marriage, real marriage that is!

The Georgia Supreme Court decision, also handed down Thursday, was narrower but still disappointing. Funny, I wasn't disappointed at all. Actually, rather uplifted.
