Bitt, according to my local fuzz, the Mexicans have vastly "improved," the product.

Whereas the local rubes were once content with a meth content of 30-35%, the Mexicans have upped the ante to a product that is often close to 100% pure, crystalline chemical.

Thanks to Mexican Marketing savvy and advanced ideas about racial equality, small-town NASCAR America now has its very own answer to the ghetto dwellers' crack. Guess what, results are the same.

So let's give our industrious neighbors to the South credit where credit is due. They are making Meth that Americans apparently cannot. Customers get higher faster, stay higher longer, ruin their lives, and devastate local economies so efficiently, that more Mexicans than ever are required to do the work they are too wasted to do.

Sounds like a comprehensive win, win situation.

I don't know about that. I'm a public defender and I've handled tons of meth cases. I get anything from possession to lab cases, deliveries, large quantity drug mule cases, and so on. I see a lot of crime lab reports that always show the purity levels of confiscated meth. I've seen plenty produced locally in small labs that was very pure, and plenty of Mexican "ice" that was weak as can be. Generally, the farther removed from the retail sales level the product is the stronger it is on average. When it's first produced, it's all strong. Most of it gets cut along the way to the end consumer, mostly at or near the retail sales level. Ice is nothing but regular meth that has gone through an additional chemical process to "glass it up." If it was of low purity when they glassed it up, it will still be of low purity in "ice" form. The ice itself is often cut too after being converted. They use things like Epsom Salts and other products that look alot like "ice." Some of it we see tested is just real garbage. Most of it found in small amounts on end consumers is relatively strong, but the regular old style crank is testing out just as high on average. Police like to say the newer stuff is way stronger though. The average cop on the streets probably believes that, and those that know better who say it's so much stronger either do it to feel important or they do it to justify their funding and make it easier to get additional funding. Overall purity of all the meth on the market fluctuates, and average purity probably has increased over the years as it became more popular and production capabilities grew, causing competition for meth sellers who have to offer better product to compete. Ice is not inherently stronger than regular meth though.
