Fully understood. Same here w/ my wife. I have a friend who advises he "used to be a news junkie" and had to be right up to the minute on everything. One day he decided to let it all go. And he has lived happily ever after (so he says). I'm afraid to follow his path..afraid I'll miss something. Also like to think I'm one of those who CAN handle the truth.(Jack Nicholson from orginal Club Gitmo film A Few Good Men), and believe that maybe our eternal vigilance will make a difference.

WOW..you sound like me.

I have toyed with the idea to NOT watch Fox and/or the Senate...and take more breaks from FR...just to keep my stress level lower...

but, whenever I do that..my stress level goes UP because I not only worry I might miss something...I worry that if I COULD have done something and didn't, I would be letting myself, family, country, and FR down..(how is that for ego?)...lol

On 4th of July I was at a picnic and someone walked up and asked me what I thought about the N. Korean firing the missles..and since I had NOT watched TV...or been on FR that day...I freaked..and went to the host's TV and turned on Fox news...LOL
