The fact is that movies have been altered for years on tv and so on and the artists who created those movies have had nothing to say about it. The reason this is controversial is because of the aim of companies like cleanflicks, not the fact that the alter videos.

But you're absolutely correct in that using software that edits unaltered DVDs accomplishes the same thing in any event.

The only thing this decison will do is transfer business from cleanflicks to companies that offer filtering software like clearplay.

False. Television has always sought and recieved the permission of the copyright holder. Whether that was the artist/creator or not is not germain to this discussion.
