It depends on the definition of lashes. Could be a stinging pain, could be a bleeding wound. Of course, we put pot smokers in prison for years.
Very true. I remember a few years ago there was a HUGE collective hissy-fit throughout the MSM about this runt-twit who perpetrated some fairly minor crime in Singapore and was sentenced to just a few "lashes".....he was on Oprah and everything....all of the liberals were moaning and crying over this horribly unjust and barbaric sentence being handed down to this "sweet young boy". It turns out that in Singapore, "lashes" are administered by hitting the criminal with a small, short bamboo stick....only a few minor welts were left on the child and it turned out to be much ado about nothing.
Truly a far cry from a punishment in the old British sailing Navy, where lashes were administered via a true bullwhip and a single lash would lay your back open down to the muscle.
Given the Islamofascists' record, I would put my money on the most painful and brutal of the methods.
