Since you seem to be in such dire need of instruction, It's called respect and simple common sense. I've been a drunken teenager plenty of times but I still had the sense to know that something is a monument of some kind (Even if I didn't know why) and that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to piss on it. The punks who trashed a war memorial in Indianapolis last summer, did you pat them on the back too?
