Let me remind you that Reagan nominated/appointed conservatives Robert Bork, Antonin Scalia, William Reinquist and Anthony Kennedy tothe high court. While Kennedy has strayed from his conservative roots on abortion, he still sides with the courts conservatives on some issues.

We won't know how Alito or Roberts will turn out for decades. Although J Alito seems to have the right stuff.

To split hairs: I think Nixon nominated Renquist for Justice. Reagan nominated him for Chief Justice.

Also, I think BOTH Roberts and Alito were stellar appointments. We dodged a bullet with Meirs, though.
