It is amazing to me to see a photo from 1840. I found some old photos on glass which my family had from circa 1880, but the one of Frau Mozart - wowee!

That's cool you own some daguerrotypes. :-)

That guy in the back bending over. That seems kind of a dynamic pose doesn't it? Didn't daguerrotypes require people to stand very still for a very long time?

It's a terrific image. I'm surprised by the casual stance of the man in the back row; images took so long to record in those days, I'd think it would be hard to hold that position.
