Well, I really would like to see Murtha debate a Veteran also. Let them talk about how a Real Vet should act.
We already had a hint of that when Murtha was dressed down by the returned Iraqi war vet. He's lucky he didn't wet his pants. :-)

Excellent idea. Turning down a debate with a vet would be even more embarrassing than turning down a debate with a challenger. Incumbents always denigrate challengers, and voters often do. But an articulate vet, if he has enough standing in the community and has the guts to go publicly against Murtha, could wound him badly -- even assuming that Murtha refuses a debate.
