Are the Zoomies still using 135's? They were using those way back in the '60's. Still, Air Farce is certainly a better option than joining the Army.

Not that you trench huggers could tell the difference.

Yes, but they have been re-engined. The active force KC-135s, and few other varients, with big fan engines (CFM56/F-108), newly built. The Reserve and Guard birds got take off JT3Ds from airliners. TF-33s in miltary designation. They are Lower bypass turbo fans, but still better than the J-57, turbojets they sported originally. The AWACS,which is not a -135 airframe, also uses TF-33s, at least in US service. Other nations have up engined to high bypass turbofans, for better performance/higher altitude flight, and for much increased fuel economy. I don't know which engines the RC varients use. Some of each is possible. According to the Air Force Fact Sheet they've gotten the F-108s.
