I understand, but politely disagree. Your rationale is that kids should learn the hard way? Because they don't know better, they sometimes do dangerous things. But, it is the parent/gardian that should "require" the use of safety equipment. Not, the nanny state.

"Mandated GPS unit's in all cars... Coming to your state soon."

Doesn't OnStar do that? How else would they know where to send the police when your airbag deploys?

Then we DO agree.

Toll roads, without booths.

Everywhere.

Insanity.

What about drivers who don't live in the state, who just drive through?

At the border of the state, a radio-tracking collar will be affixed to your neck.

And your ear will be tagged.

So that they can track your migratory routes and mating patterns.

"States are losing money because of more efficient cars...well you can't have it both ways."

Sure you can. If they need more money to maintain the roads, all they have to do is to increase the gas tax. This is simply a control all aspects of the populace, mandatory tracking in every vehicle power grab. It has nothing to do with simply raising revenue for the roads.

You've been lucky...just like I was when I was growing up in Wisconsin in the 50s and 60s, riding bicycle without a helmet.

Luck had very little to do with it.......
