Well, this is an interesting piece of news. The PRD will have to destroy the Mexican electoral process in order to save it.

This does not bode well. The Zócalo capital plaza in Mexico City is just the place in which a demonstration that gets out of hand could have devastating consequences for the future of a transitional government to Calderón's presidency. Even though you can see Solis discussing "serenity," "civility," and a "peaceful movement," the clear intent here is to intimidate the government through the use of their broad base of support in Mexico City. This is dangerous news in my opinion.

California Patriot, I believe you were the one most worried about seeing things come apart in Mexico if the election was too close. This could be another early sign that it might. I thought I should ping you here.

I really don't know which party to root for, as both are based on the concept of hooking into the American financial teat.

The mere fact that Obrador is calling for street protests is testament to his not being fit to be president.

The Zócalo capital plaza in Mexico City is just the place

I was there before during and after a FDN rally. Peones had been bussed in to the DF and went shopping. The Army made its disciplined presence known. And uno, dos, tres, all night long testing the P A system is not hypnotic.

How did the Mexican citizens in the U.S. (illegally or legally) tend to vote?
