You also imply that any alcohol purchased at, say, 8:00 on a Sunday morning is going to be consumed no later than 8:01. We sometimes do grocery shopping early on a Sunday morning, and it's nice to be able to buy everything at once - not just certain categories!

You suggest the people leaving church at Pearl Harbor were drunk? Obviously, the comparison was lost on more than just you. I'm sorry some people don't "get" the blue laws. I am able to see that they were intended to DETER people from drinking during church hours. That's all. I apologize if my references confused anyone.
