Yeah but I would hate for my kids to see a truck driving around with pictures of dead Iraqi babies that read "Killed by The Bush Administration".
I think these "abortion porn" types are just exhibitionists
Unless these kids were all over the age of 10, I call BS on this story. Most little kids wouldn't even notice, much less connect the pictures to an abortion.
That being said, I don't particularly like these rolling billboards. They are gruesome, and though some folks believe others need to be shocked into the reality of abortion, I don't agree. The same thing applies to the realities of war. I don't think it we need to see mutilated bodies of soldiers and civilians on billboards in order to understand the brutality of war. Put it in the daily newspaper for older kids and adults to read and understand, but leave it off of large public displays.
Looks like another case of "abortion is OK, just don't talk about it."
I've seen these trucks many times ,, they usually roll during the rush hours for maximum exposure to adults.. every time I've seen them there are indeed camera's rolling , in the chase car (usually a Crown Vic that looks like but is not a law enforcement vehicle) to make sure the pro-aborts don't get violent toward the truck drivers..
As far as I'm concerned the truth has to be told ,, the media and the teachers (brainwashers) in the government schools have to be countered, especially as the pro aborts are pushing more and more that it's neat clean and easy , just take a pill!!
Where is the Christ-like love and understanding that could reach out to these young mothers who are about to make a tragic choice?
"but I also see them using the kids as captive audiences in the schools to indoctrinate them into supporting abortion, homosexuality"
How about all sides LET KIDS BE KIDS?!! A crazy idea for sure but leave them out of the conflicts which at their young age they don't have the ability to comprehend in the first place. Kinda the reason they don't the right to vote last time I checked.
In the end all that happens is a 5 year old sees these images, gets nightmares and puts the parent in bad position for us antiabortion advocates i.e. one which won't engender much sympathy towards the side upsetting their children.
I agree, but it only works if the "other side" also leaves them alone. If you have an immoral force doing everything it can to indocrinate the kids, it would seem one would have a moral imperative to try to negate the indoctrination. Showing them the ugly results may not always be the best approach, but pretending it doesn't happen, and trying to put forth a rational argument to the children is not effective enough to stop the propaganda of moral turpetude from doing its thing to them. Just because there isn't a peachy-keen, super-duper, PROPR way to do it doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. Sometimes the lesser of two evils is the only right choice.
If you can figure out how to keep the forces of evil from taking an active role in subverting and perverting the kids, I will totally agree that showing them aborted fetuses is wrong.
