1. My name is Lindsey Marburger and I am from the United States,
originally outside of Seattle, Washington and currently attending the
American University in Washington, D.C. At school I am studying
international development and global environmental policy, and will be
using my knowledge to study abroad in Cairo next year. My interest in
international affairs and politics began during my work with and
research on environmental organizations and their quest for
comprehensive peace treaties.
2. The existing system of international alliances serves the
short-term interests of the United States as our power over
international treaties and the United Nations allows great political
leverage. However, in the long run the pattern of ostracizing other
nations and a preference for bilateral or unilateral action will
deteriorate United States' alliances. Moreover, a failure to maintain
past alliances and build upon new ones will deteriorate the global
commons and threaten the security of not only my country, but many
throughout the world."
Hope she doesn't try the tank-top, skirt, and flip-flops over there, or else some Islamist sub-human might go Durka-Durka-Jihad all over her ass.
Lindsey knows the words to the songs and drinks the Kool-Aid.
She is still keeping her faith in the Kellogg-Briand Pact.
