I almost think it would have been better to simply give him a dishonorable discharge and forget him. After all it sure looks like he joined only to get the publicity for refusing to go anyway.

No, no way.

The military cannot afford to play by those rules.

They are doing the right thing.

Too bad the penalty won't match the crime.
