They always seem to forget the video clip of Bill Clinton skiing with Lay in Aspen, and staying at Lays Aspen home.
Why do the names Clinton and Lay seem so apropo??

I know after his conviction he was quoted as saying his fate was in God's hands, and that "God is in control of all things." So be it, in his case. Maybe God has spoken.
I find it hard to feel sorry for somebody whose actions destroyed so many other people's lives and who, at least as far as I could see, felt no remorse for his actions.
He & his family came out of it pretty well, it seems, at least monetarily -- for all the Lays' poor mouthing about how they too suffered from Enron's collapse, had to sell some of their houses, etc. -- he could still afford his vacations in Aspen.
I'm sure the stress in the last few yrs hasn't helped and the fact he'd not taken the usual medical exams since the crash of Enron.
I too feel so sorry for his family and have prayed for them.
Especially when "lay" is used as a verb...
Marvin Zindler praised Ken Lay for his charitable contributions from the pre-Enron collapse days. Marvin's always publicly said Ken Lay was innocent and the others were guilty. I should write this on the calendar because Marvin is a "all rich people are evil and live forever" or "it's hell to be poor" kinda guy.

Yep, I've been watching the local news here in Houston today. Lots of praises for Ken Lay and his charity contributions within the Houston Area. They're right, Ken Lay did tons in that arena.
Acutally, he's 857 now.

In which case they will devise a conspiracy where Bush & Rove faked the heart attack so that Lay will be allowed to fly off to some sunspot to live out his life in luxury. :)
This might not be unusual. My brother at age 42 had a heart attack which incapacitated him ... then had a massive one minutes later which killed him. So maybe this is the norm for some heart attacks.
