The New York Times is very upset it has been singled out for revealing a government program that tracks terrorists through financial transactions. The Times notes the same story was simultaneously broken by the Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times, but so far they have not come in for the same criticism.

Sounds like the N.Y. Times has been bad for a long, long time.

Now you'd think the Washington Times would have done their homework better.. sheesh. The article says: The Times notes the same story was simultaneously broken by the Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times, but so far they have not come in for the same criticism. Not exactly true. The NY Times broke the story FIRST, the mnight before, on its website. The LA Times and WSJ only ran their respective articles after this was known. Which, of course, changes the whole context of this argument. Not that I don't think they ALL suck for divuldging this info at all. I expect this sort of error from the Washington ComPort but not the Times...
