Man, that's quite a metaphor.

It doesn't continue, does it?

"I first want to be clear about one thing: Congressman Pence is a friend of mine, of whom I think so much that I have said, with deference to his committed Protestantism, that the only position for which I would not support him is pope. I believe Mike’s motives are pure."

Pence ain't running, get over it.

Not that he isn't a good guy or anything or wouldn't make a good president.

I think the point King has missed is that the Pence bill with tougher enforcement requirements, you're not going to have as many people crossing the border with guest workers easily available.

If you think George Allen has been "sitting this one out" you need to get out more yourself.

The lastet Allen/Webb poll had Allen up by 20 pts (in the 50s).

You need to read the entire Wadhams memo. It's merely in response to Webb's hysteria.

I wonder how much Tancredo has promised to pump into King's campaign?

Either that or he threatened to pull a Cannon/Jacobs on King.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Like there's ever going to be enforcement!

Nobody believes for a second there will ever be enforcement, short of a nuke coming through.

Bush will not support any plan that excludes amnesty, so we can safely assume that Pence's plan is "Lipstick on a Pig".

Karl Rove does things like that all the time and he's a genius, isn't he? Politics is politics.

"Mike Pence in 2008"

Pence may be following the Gipper's lead on Amnesty, but he's no Gipper. And the Gipper didn't have to run again.

Watch this fall. Watch the T.V. ads going provision over odious provision of the Hagel-Martinez plan the democratic Senate candidate supported. It's already happening in several races.

That will happen to Mike Pence in the 2008 primaries. Sorry.

"I don't know.I am down here in South Carolina and people are real excited about Mike Pence."

Do you have any kind of scientific poll? Otherwise am I to believe this is simply because you know a few people who also like Mike Pence?
