JEFFERSON - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has completed its ten-month look into activities at the Jefferson Police Department.

Special prosecutor Rick Malone says agents are still drafting a report of their findings and that he expects the report by the end of the week.

Malone said Monday there is a "distinct possibility" a grand jury will lodge criminal charges in the case, but he declined to say who might be charged.

Richard Jewell went to work for the Jefferson Police Department (although one source said Pendergrass). Jefferson is not a big town by any stretch. I, for one, will be interested in how this plays out.
