Putin seeks to start anti-terror offensive
Published July 5, 2006
MOSCOW -- Russian President Vladimir Putin asked parliament yesterday for the right to send soldiers and special forces anywhere in the world to fight terrorists, acting just days after having pledged to "destroy" the terrorists who killed five Russian diplomats in Iraq.
Moscow confirmed early last week that terrorists had killed four abducted diplomats, beheading two of them in an Internet video, after Russia refused their demand to leave the breakaway republic of Chechnya. A fifth diplomat was killed during the abduction June 3.

Terrific news, if the Russians go worldwide after these monsters who are playing the West for the biggest fools since Neville Chamberlain.
I didn't mean to imply that he wasn't. I was commenting on the well known fact that after the fall of the wall and the Soviets, many of Russias spec operators, as well as KGB, GRU folks went into more lucrative trades when the government checks stopped coming on a regular basis.
In short, I was making a joke with a basis in fact.
And it's good to hear that not all Russia's experienced spec-ops people bailed out and went to work for the mob.
My estimation is that the MSM hates anything NOT soviet or Communist.
So, we get this assertion that Putin and his forces have done nothing.
Soldiers--regardless of their jurisdiction--understand each other. God be with your nephew.
Didn't he get that power several years ago? We have been awaiting news of successful operations worldwide, but so far there have been only a few items from Chechnya.
The Russin mafia is mainly composed of Chechens.
