I think everyone underestimates how pro "getting elected" Rudy is. His second amendment position is easily changed as is the 'gay marriage' and 'illegal immigration enforcement' issues. He'll simply say that those are positions which were 'right' for New York City, while being 'wrong' for the country, and enough people will buy into it.
But we're talking a completely different story where abortion is concerned. I think it's an interesting question to ask if there is ANYONE out there who is reliably pro-life and looks like a winning candidate for president. For the left, the "right to kill babies" is paramount... they will go to the mattresses over that issue, and in many cases would rather lose than give in on that fight. For them you see it's not about killing anyone, it's the right to have sex with anyone they want without fear of bearing the responsibility of any consequences.
so I think it begs the question... Is there a candidate out there so strong in other areas that he will be able to be pro-life and still get elected?
If the realistic answer is no, then Rudy starts to look like a potential winner.

Rudy can run on state's rights for abortion, and gun control as well. Each and every state should be able to decide these issues for themselves. By a people vote, not an old man vote.
