"On occasion, late at night,my neighbors son shoots out their second floor garage apt.I could care less, but if he ever hits my truck....:("
Tell him to keep the end of the barel inside the window and the noise heard outside is negligible. It does wake up everyone inside the house though. I know from teenage experience lol
Nice wrist rocket. Where can I get one?

Been around for a long time..
I actually recall reading about same in what I believe was a Sherlock Holmes story..
One of Moriarity's thugs used a silenced air rifle to attempt to assassinate one of the characters..
Early air rifles were "serious" weapons, not just for squirrels and targets..
I have a friend in Oklahoma who has suppressors on all his .22LR rifles. He chose that route to avoid bothering the neighbors with noise when shooting on his own property. He has the paperwork and tax stamps for each one. It's really no big deal, unless you enter into the arrangement naively uninformed.
My local FFL is applying to add Class III to his license. He needs to broaden his offerings as a new Sportsman's Warehouse will be built in Pocatello. That will certainly eat into his sales of ordinary FFL items.
I'm not personally interested in suppressors or full auto types of firearms. I would like to get permission to put my Thompson Encore 15" barrels with a nice thumb hole rifle butt. That would take some of the "ouch" out of the .308 and S&W 460 recoil. One of my local buddies finally got permission to build a short barreled rifle in .308 using a bullpup design. An odd beastie, but he likes it.
It is standard practice on rifles in Europe. Firing an unsuppressed rifle at an indoor range is considered rude and obnoxious. Too bad Hollywood and the anti-gun left whipped up the feds to characterize suppressors as evil accessories to enable secret agents to quietly conduct assassinations. A load of BS.
IIRC - Lewis and Clark brought along on their journey, a large caliber air rifle to be tested.
Don't be silly.
However, add a book of matches to that list...
"Early air rifles were "serious" weapons not just for squirrels and targets."Back in the day(my teenage yrs)my neighbor had a very nice Benjamin(sp?)air rifle.Definitely not a toy.Solid wood stock, heavy barrel,.17 cal, well made.I don't know the fps it generated, but it was powerful and accurate.
The case should have been dismissed right then and there.
The law does not indicate amount of reduction, only that it reduces.
For some reason my bookmark to one of the stories on the ATFAbuse site says the thread has been pulled from Free Republic.
Is there a method to this madness?
Best regards,
