I guess Alan has dropped out of the good of a lot of FRers... I love his writtings for the most part and he is very intelligent, but he has twice flaked on me, once when he went ballistic on a debate snub and used the racist card and another time when he went into "black reparations"...
But anyone that can say with a straight face that Alan is liberal ... well... is not debating with a full deck.. Alan is right on the money 95% of the time IMHO... but the flake factor will always be there unfortunately.

They're pretty much the same crowd that can always be counted on to trash conservatives or to back this White House no matter what. They're really not that numerous. Don't let the noisy few fool you...

As I recollect, your boy from Illinois (Abe Lincoln) made the Declaration of Independence moot in 1865 when he won a war that forcibly kept the Southern States in the Union. Leave it to the Yankees to screw up a good thing.
