Around Free Republic Tom Tancredo is well respected as a first class conservative. His pet issue maybe immigration reform, but Tancredo also supports a strong national defense, limited govt, tax reform and he's a strong pro-lifer.
The last five FR "POll Questions" had Hillary Rotten facing off against five possible GOP candidates in 2008. McCain garnered 39%, Giuliani 69%, Newt 86%, Allen 84% and Tancredo received 86.6%. Most Freepers know a real conservative when they see one. Tom Tancredo is a real conservative.

Why wait for Tom Terrific's new book to hit the Under $4 table at bookstores...it's already only $4.95 at World Nut Daily.

Well, I'm off for a bit so I'll see you later. Hope you have a terrific Fourth of July!

Why waste good money on his book? I'll wait till it hits the Under $2 table (so there is no profit to the author) then buy it, laminate the front cover and use it as a urinal target in the garage bathroom. My current pat buchanan urinal target it starting to get worn out.

Spoken like a good liberal.

Quick question as I'm headed out and I'll look for an answer later...so TIA.
Putting Hillary up is ridiculous and completely stacking the deck. And using McCain is just as silly, since he is beloved in the same way a Hillary is.
The that would be telling is one that pits the conservatives against each other primary style. Has there been one of those? I can't remember.
Since Tancredo scores about the same as the other conservatives and I think that the telling thing would be how many people actually voted in each to get a feel for numbers. (No answer needed, just is a note to myself to check the numbers when I get back.)

Liberal? LOL!
You folks are so far to the right you've come up on the left.

So that's why Tancredo came in 3rd on this poll
here????

well he's been cursed by some on FR by calling him a "Real Conservative".
It's over for him now.
And if he picks the wrong campaign manager for his Quixotic Presidential campaign, it might get a little embarrassing for him.

And something else I noticed...
Tancredo didn't even come in 3rd when it comes to "member opinion".
He came in fourth, after "other/undecided".
So much for the "real conservative" huh?

Yep...God forbid he actually stick his nose into his own state and try to do something about illegal immigrants.
To: CWOJackson
Oh well.
Those that lick his boots will continue to do so, those who don't won't and those that don't care one way or the other will continue to watch and laugh.

That is an older poll. Dr.Rice isn't running. George Allen is holding his own. Against Hillary, Tancredo comes out #1, just ahead of another good conservative Newt Gingrich. I have no idea is Tancredo will run, but if he's the GOP candidate, he'll get most FReeper votes, most conservative votes, most GOP votes and he'll get my vote too.

LOL
I would come out #1 against Hillary.
It doesn't mean a damn thing.
You can talk about the age of the polls all you want, but the fact is that MOST FReepers don't want Tancredo as the GOP candidate if there are other options on the table. You can't deny it.

The problem with Tancredo is that he is simply a redo of Alan Keyes (that is NOT a compliment). He is way too full of himself but knows he has found a natural constituency within the far right nut case crowd. He will cater to that crowd as he enjoys nothing more than adulation even if he looks like a jackass in the process.
If somebody wants a conservative who can compete for the nomination (remember folks...that comes first) then there are other places to look.
I for one just want Hillary staying out of the oval office.
To: MikefromOhio
>>>>>I would come out #1 against Hillary. Then run for POTUS and maybe JimRob will have a poll for you versus Hillary. You can laugh all you want, the facts don't lie. FReepers give Cong Tancredo the most support among Republicans, against the Democrat candidate that most everyone who pays any attention to American politics and who believes will secure the party nomination in 2008. Hillary. Things could change, but right now, Tancredo comes out #1. Your opinion is in the minority.

I'm a conservative and I've been a Freeper for a long time.
I wouldn't vote for Tancredo. Not for any reason.
If you want to support him that's your business but you are assuming a hell of a lot about how other conservatives would vote.
