I remember several years ago when they shut down a shuttle launch after the main engines had started but before igniting the boosters.
That was a surprise!

It's the Ultimate Rush IMO.
I love watching planes take off too.
I am so excited I feel like throwing up God I hope they don't run the hot dog eating race story again before launch time.

Yup! I do a lot of work on Cocoa Beach and always have my eyes towards Patrick AFB. Love seeing them come in over the beach.

They have decided to do the T-31 seconds hold for about a minute to let things cool down.

Kevin, I got to watch the Delta 4 launch from Vandenberg SLC-6 last week.
I was in Carlsbad, we could see the initial launch, then it was hidden behind a cloud and we missed the booster jettison, but then it flew due south, over the ocean and we saw the first stage jettison and 2nd stage firing and the fairings get jettisoned.
Way cool, first launch I've ever witnessed.
