Whatever city they are from they are still bringing their big city ideas with them. They move here to the country to escape the city then they attempt to impart all that they hate from the cities into the local governments.
NYC is somehow immune to all this, IMHO, the city is a haven for the truly filthy wealthy (Donald Trump comes to mind) so even if the city increased taxes, it won't harm them that much because there is truly no city in America that can offer luxuries that you will find in the Big Apple.
