You're right of course. Cindy's maiden name (and now that she is divorced, maybe her legal name) was/is Miller.
Her sister, Dede Miller was a radical leftist and member of Code Pink and much else before Casey was killed.
But Dede is grotesquely fat and very dyke-y looking. (She gives a lot of time for gay causes, too.) So Cindy became the poster child for the cause.
