I hope during her tomorrow's Crawford hunger strike that some of Dubya's barbecue aroma wafts her way...

It is heartening to think that were this 1970, this person "Cindy" would have been given a hundred times the promotion and nearly none of the criticism that she receives today.

It was not so long ago by any means, but what a difference 30 years makes.

Susan Sarandon May Play Anti-War Protester in New Film

Susan Sarandon is in talks to portray American anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan in an upcoming movie biopic. Attending yesterday's star-studded “Bring 'Em Home Now!” concert for peace, the actress admitted her plans to bring Sheehan's story to the silver screen. Sheehan began her relentless campaign against the military action in Iraq after her son Casey was killed in 2004.

Sheehan says of Sarandon, "I admire her work and we're working together to tell the story."

REM rocker Michael Stipe and dance star Moby also attended the event to raise awareness and support for the campaign. Sarandon adds, "It's awesome to me because there are more and more kids getting involved."
