Why do state beaches need employees to run them? What ever happened to swim at your own risk? And why do parks and campgrounds need tons of staff? All they really need is someone to pick up the trash occasionally.
Why do casinos need state monitors? The mob has run gambling rackets just fine for years without state monitoring. The same for racetracks.
Maybe the citizens of Jersey will start understanding that they don't need most of the nanny state in order for things to function. The solution is to cut government spending, not raise sales or payroll taxes. But I'm not holding my breath.
Low income, not low tax. State income tax is $11,250 on the first $100,000. An additional 7.8% of the amount over $100,000 is assessed. The principal positive to living in Pocatello is a lower overall cost of living.
Washington voters did just that.....voted to ban smoking from all bars or taverns or restaurants , in fact all public places.....
yet, yet, the Indian casinos who are big RAt contributors are left free to do whatever they want.....the same Washington voters wouldn't even let simple video poker type slots exist in bars or eateries etc for fear of the terrible vice of "gambling" ....of course, voting down those machines was the primary task of the Indian casino money...( didn't want the competition....our legislatures also just passed a NO-online gambling bill....got to protect their money people_)..
people are stupid everywhere....our gas prices just went up 3cents because the stupid voters thought that raising the taxes would actually HELP build or maintain roads.....
question is....where do we move to?....
