Looks like an unnatural mating experience between reptiles and mammals.

Heaven help us....

“And yet all loneliness, angers, hatreds, envies and itchings that it contains, if rolled into one single experience and put into the scale against the least moment of the joy that is felt by the least in Heaven, would have no weight that could be registered at all. Bad cannot succeed even in being bad as truly as good is good. If all Hell’s miseries together entered the consciousness of yon wee yellow bird on the bough there, they would be swallowed up without trace, as if one drop of ink had been swallowed into that Great Ocean to which your terrestrial Pacific itself is only a molecule."

True, in the grand we-are-not-even-a-speck-in-the-universe kind of thinking.

But evil must be driven out here and now.

I was in the kitchen just listening when that Fox News Alert blared out out me. It was silly. Would they get that worked up over a thunderstorm warning, high winds and hail, in Omaha or anywhere else in fly-over country?

*Amphibians* and mammals.
[we amphibious beings are *very* sensitive about this confusion in taxonomy]

So....is what's good for the Michigoose good for the Michigander?.....:D

Rather than blaming these major weather disturbances on global warming, I place the blame on the decadence of this country for the increasing heat of God's own wrath upon a nation turning it's back on Him.

Yeah, we needed more rain here in the DC area. Life wasn't interesting enough last week, with the dam threatening to break, mudslides, evacuations, two inches of rain per hour, traffic tie-ups, flooding, drownings, power outages, wild animals climbing on our cars, et cetera ad nauseam.

>The Great Divorce<

A great book. God rest the soul of C.S. Lewis.

It's all good. Until it's not.
On your deathbed you will receive total consciousness ...
And all that stuff.....

Absolutely . . . but Lewis was talking about the afterlife, not the here and now.

"The night cometh when no man can work."

Fox News Alerts are definitely out of control.

As I posted a while back:

Fox News Alert: A mini van traveling north on I-95 experienced a flat tire. Driver and vehicle appear to be okay, but the tire is still flat.

Fox News will keep you up to date on the latest news as to when the tire will be replaced or fixed.

Not true. You should see the local media in Indy when we are about to get 1" of snow. It's armageddon followed by those lucky enough to survive will contract the bird flu, and if that doesnt finish you off global warming will.

Laugh but I actually saw this progression of stories last winter.

Amen.

The Great Divorce is my favorite. My daughter came independently to the same conclusion.
