I put in "Space command colorado springs" into Google News search -- I got the article posted, AND:
Delta 4 rockets Air Force Space Command to new heights
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=20209
Space Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer Elliot G. Pulham made the following statement in response to last evening's successful Delta 4 launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif:
"Air Force Space Command has delivered again - an historic 45 consecutive successful launches. The Space Foundation congratulates the men and women of Air Force Space Command on their record-breaking work. Not only have the past 45 launches in a row all been successful, but 100 percent of the previous payloads delivered in this success streak are functioning at, or above, design specifications. Tonight's Delta 4 launch - a combined effort of the Air Force, The Boeing Company, the Aerospace Corporation and many, many others - continues a tradition of leadership in space unrivaled by any other space organization in the world."
The launch at 8:33 p.m. PDT June 27 from Space Launch Complex-6 at Vandenberg Air Force Base was the first Delta 4 to launch from the West Coast.

It may have been this -- the article also mentioned Vandenberg on alert and they launched the rocket from there.
In which case, it was just a precaution and all is well.
Thanks for the info.
Good find.
Sounds crazy, but I guessed last week that they might take a shot at this meteor with the Delta 4 and a dummy warhead. Test positioning and detonation timing. Why do this? Maybe they know a bigger one is coming in real close in the next decade or so. Or maybe the Delta is going to launch a big bird of some type and my idea is BS. Just thought I'd throw it out here.
