Quote by Biden, in article: “I’m lucky,” he said. “I’m a respecter of fate.

Yep, that ol' fate again. Get ready Biden, fate is gonna bite you one more time. Either that or Hiliary will.

We need to bring the Iraq War to an early and honorable end..... We must do this in order to free up our dedicated military people to fight the war we need to win – the war against international terrorism -

I'm Jim Webb, from Virginia. Thanks for listening.

Did you see/hear this?

Some clown on my street actually had a Kucinich bumper sticker in the last presidential election.

There were ton's of them in the university area here, usually right next to a worn Nader/LaDuke sticker.

“I know I’m supposed to hedge, but I’m in.”

His campaign slogan: "Joe Biden: Making Bad Decisions Since 1988".

A key missing component of George W. Bush’s foreign policy, Biden said, is the ability to “project to the world what your values are, and what you value.”

Someone needs to tell this moron that projecting what his values are has never been a problem for George W. Bush.

Earlier poster is correct, watching the RATs in 08 is gonna be a LOT of fun!

That the DNC could still be claiming that Iraq is not part of the WOT is a stunning testament to the utter incompetent and pathetic performance ot the White House PR machine.

Your comment makes Jim Webb's and Biden's rantings look sane. What an asanine accusation on your part!! The White House and Administration officials again and again and again and again and again have made quite clear that Iraq is a central component to the war on terror.

But instead of placing blame where it belongs - with the media and treasonous Democrats - you get blindly led about by the nose and pooh-pooh the PR machine.

If it was quite clear the rats wouldn't be campainging on the issue.

Apparently they have over 50% of Americans convinced otherwise.

I call that pretty good PR on their part and lousy PR on our part.

Didn't Biden threaten to cutoff funding to the troops during or right before the first gulf war?

Did someone inform the "Dumbest Man in the Senate" that Bush cannot run again in 2008?

"A key missing component of George W. Bush’s foreign policy, Biden said, is the ability to “project to the world what your values are, and what you value.”

If the man is THIS thick, he shouldn't be anywhere NEAR the Presidency. George W. Bush has been VERY clear about his policy, and the values of liberty and freedom it represents. If Biden hasn't been paying attention, that's his own fault, and he doesn't deserve to be President.

I agree. I read the article and this is the short version.

I am Joe Biden and I am running for president because Bush sucks.

I'm going to try to be fair to the fair-hair(plugg)ed boy. Here's what Biden believes are his best attribute, his selling points for Joe Biden President of the United States:

“But the very thing that may prevent me from being viewed as the consummate insider is the very thing that may get me in trouble — and that is a tendency to say what I think,” he said.

But does he say what he thinks? Can anyone tell us the "Joe Biden" position on anything? What has Joe said that's memorable?

What's also funny about this absurd view of himself relates to his plagiarism incident. If Joe Biden says what he thinks, why did he use a British Labor Party Leader's words and re-invent his own biography?

While admitting to being “agnostic” on what he considers less important issues, Biden said, “There are certain core things I’m not prepared to back off on,” including, he said, a belief that Sens. John Kerry and Russell Feingold’s calls to withdraw troops from Iraq by a specified date in mid-2007 is a mistake.

Okay, Joey's trying to stake out the McCain Straight Shooter niche of politics. If Joey's so great at speaking truth to power, how can he be "agnostic" on some issues? Can you imagine any cowboy using the word "agnostic"? And is not setting a timetable a "core issue"?

Biden said 2008 may also be “the one year maybe in the better part of a century when it’s much better to be a senator than a governor. I don’t think the country is looking for on-the-job training.”

Joey is a legend in his own mind. What about being a Senator is "on the job training" for the Presidency?

He said four of the seven Presidents he has served with were former governors, and each “took at least two years to figure out what their foreign policy was. And I think the public is looking for someone who seems to have strength and the substance, the intelligence, to implement what he or she says."

Okay. What is Joey's foreign policy? Where is the evidence of Joey's strength, substance, intelligence and will to implement what he says?

Biden said his Senate experience “is the thing that’s given me the confidence to believe I’m the best qualified person to be President. I’m wrong about a lot of things, but I haven’t been very wrong about the foreign policy side of the equation.”

Joey the Legend puts his foreign policy creds out front to stake his claim to the Presidency. I'm no expert, but I've been following the news for 35 years. I haven't a clue what Foreign Policy Chez Joe is or could be. Is it me? Am I just uninformed? Is the public just clamoring for Biden to get us out of our foreign policy mess and I'm just missing it?

A key missing component of George W. Bush’s foreign policy, Biden said, is the ability to “project to the world what your values are, and what you value.”

Joey the Legend stakes his claim on his communication skills to foreigners. That's why he should be President. Other than Joey, can anyone name on American who would use this criteria to determine his vote for President. BTW, Joey doesn't realize, that foreigners understand our values perfectly well, they just disagree with them. Some foreigners are willing to express that disagreement by murdering Americans, as many as they can. Others express that disagreement by stabbing America in the back at the UN and sending envoys to Cameroon to buy UN votes against the US. What's Joey the Great Communicator going to do about that?

“We need a much, much, much more robust doctrine of public diplomacy,” said Biden, including programs not unlike the cold war’s Radio Free Europe.

I'm curious, did Joey the Senator support Radio Free Europe or did he vote to defund it?

He said Donald Rumsfeld should resign as defense secretary in the wake of the Haditha killings to show the world “we take responsibility for mistakes and we’re ready to change.”

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Have any of our troops been charged? Haditha looks like an insurgent propaganda attack. And Joey the Senator, the world really doesn't care that “we take responsibility for mistakes and we’re ready to change.” If it's not Haditha, they'll just use other propaganda.

“It’s a matter of having to rebuild alliances by rebuilding faith in our country. Other countries don’t doubt our physical might. They doubt our judgment. That’s where we’ve been so badly damaged.”

Oh, yeah. The world is going to be so impressed with Joey the Legend's competence that Joey's going to rebuild the alliances. Yup, that'll solve the problems.

“When we depart from the rule of law, does it help us or hurt us in our overall fight and objective, to take on terror?” said Biden. “It hurts us, and the court’s decision is positive and will help us in the international community.”

Joey the Legend in his Own Mind is certifably delusional.

Biden said he proposed opening discussions with Iran immediately after 9/11, when thousands marched in the streets to show empathy for the United States. “There was an opportunity because the Iranians were worried about terror turning on themselves.”

Oh, here's an example of Joey the Legend's fantastic understanding of foreigners. Iranians marched in the streets on 9/11, because they were afraid of terrorisim turning on them? Huh? Iranian people marched, because they see the US as their hope for regaining their freedom from the Mad Mullahs, whose government is the world's largest support of terrorism. The marchers were against the government's support of terrorism, from which they've been the first and continuing targets of that terrorism.

“In retrospect, it’s clear to me they had no intention of doing anything other than going to war in Iraq,” Biden said. “This is going to (go) down as the single most tragic foreign policy mistake of this century.”

Remember, Joey's claim to be President is his fantastic foreign policy talent. This statement is an example of what Joey the Legend thinks. Here we are in 2006, and Iraq is already "the single most tragic foreign policy mistake". So, does Joey read the future? Does he know what is going to happen in the next 94 years? Did he simple misspeak and meant the "last one hundred years"? What the heck does Joey the communicator mean?

Biden said that if the United States had not gone to Iraq, Saddam Hussein, “left unfettered,” would have gained access to a nuclear weapon in five to seven years.

But if “we had kept the no-fly zone going, inspections, and if the Kurds had continued building a serious state that was growing, you would have continued to put pressure on Saddam, and I think we would have eventually brought Saddam down in a process where his own military would have decided he was too much of an impediment for them.”

Whew, my head is spinning, I can only imagine that Joey the Legend's head is going at 3600 rpm. Do nothing and hopefully, Saddam's military will take hime out. Yup. Brilliant.

"The irony of all ironies is that Tehran is much more secure today because Saddam’s gone and the Taliban is gone," he said. "They ought to be sending us a 'thank you' note.

Do you really think the Mullahs feel more secure? Iran is secure from being attacked again from Iraq, that doesn't mean the Mullahs are more secure. This is not the first time The Legend is confusing Iranians with the Mullah regime. Remember, Joey's foreign policy brilliance is why he NEEDS to be elected President.

A lot of this is Joe Biden's own words and own thoughts. He really, truly belives, he is the smartest guy in the room. His foreign policy and his knowledge of foreigners makes him Einstein compared to Bush. Joey talks of hubris, he is the living embodiment of hubris. I just can't wait for the Dem Primary Debates and see Joey the Legend talking down to his fellow candidates and the audience. We'll see how well that goes over.
