Think the immigration debate is mainly about giving amnesty to the 10 million illegals already here? Think again. Amnesty is a drop in the bucket. The real issue is the staggering increase in legal immigration hidden in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, recently passed in the Senate. By a ratio of about 4-1, U.S. voters would prefer less immigration, not more. But the Senate bill would do just the opposite. The original bill would have allowed as many as 100 million people to legally immigrate to the United States over the next 20 years. We're talking about a seismic shift of unprecedented proportions.
Facing criticism, the Senate has amended the bill - which now would allow "only" 61 million new immigrants. That still more than doubles the current legal immigration rate, from 1 million a year now to 2.5 million.
Current law would let 19 million legal immigrants enter the United States over the next 20 years; the Senate immigration bill would add an extra 42 million.
Why such extraordinary growth? Consider how the new law would work.
Under the Senate bill, immigrants could enter or attain lawful status within the country through nine channels. In each channel, immigrants would gain permanent residence and the right to become citizens:

Gotta destroy the middle class. Then they'll stop keeping an eye on our leaders cuz they're too busy trying to scrape by.
Pay attention to the author- Robert Rector
He knows this subject backward and forward. He's very credible on TV too.
It is that simple, but so few can see it coming.
If their game plan succeeds you will have to be a gubbermint worker (Federal preferably) to have a middle class existence. All other wages will plummet
Meanwhile, millions cross our souther border every year. Frustrating.
Why should people care about this when...when...when we need to ban flag burning, a very important issue and far more important than this!?!?!?
No? What about...um...something important like an Executive Order...on Kelo and stuff? You remember, Kelo? That really sucked, huh?
No? Well, how about that crappy NY Times? Boy, aren't they a pack of traitors! We should hate them, I'm furious about them...except we shouldn't prosecute them because that might be...um...FLAG burning, have I mentioned flag burning?
Congratulations on your wife's legal immigration, which I hope comes quickly!
And good luck on getting through that whole mess before the amnesty gets through [chuckle], and 10 million+ illegals here have to have their [snicker] background checks done in 90 days by Homeland Security [chortle].
It is nearly time...only when enough Americans have had enough of what is going on.
Well. Uh. Gosh. I feel soooooo much better.
Bingo!
see this little glimmer of hope?
Federal law would cut grants to 'sanctuary cities' for illegal immigrants

"Destroy the middle class,so few see it comming."That's a fact. And few of our polititians are willing to acknowledge that.Add to that the msm's active support of illegal immigration, and most Americans(imo)are simply ignorant of the social and economic ramifications of unrestricted immigration. The proposed Senate bill(if enacted)is tantamount to national suicide.
It could not only destroy the middle class, but our entire Constitutionally based system. Can you imagine 60 million immigrants sharing the beliefs of this lovely couple? Hat tip, Jihadwatch.
California pair admit enslavement
Sharia Alert from...southern California. The Qur'an condones slavery, and we see from cases like this that Muslims who take that seriously can be found anywhere.
An Egyptian former couple have pleaded guilty to enslaving a 10-year-old girl in their southern California home.
The girl, who was brought to the US from Egypt, was forced to work 16-hour days and was not allowed to leave the house during her 20-month ordeal.
Abdel Nasser Eid Youssef Ibrahim, 45, and his ex-wife, Amal Ahmed Ewis-abd Motelib, 43, agreed to plead guilty to four federal charges.
They face jail terms of three years when they are sentenced in October.
The girl, whose name was not released, was brought to the US by the couple in August 2000 when she was 10.
She was forced to clean their home, take care of their five children, prepare food and do the laundry, for no pay. She lived in squalor in the garage and was told that if she left the house in Irvine, southern California, she might be arrested....
Have read that the total number of legal immigrants admitted to the US is around 50 million since the country was founded.
