Caltrans ordered a longtime Laguna Beach day labor center to close Friday, saying it was illegally operating on state property, land that the state didn't even know it owned.
The state Department of Transportation issued the order after a Laguna Beach resident who is a member of the Minuteman Project border patrol group checked property records and brought the information forward as part of a protest against the center.

Awesome! bttt
Great job. Thanks for the pics!
that's great but now the illegals are getting stealthier in south county by hanging out in very small groups in tiny upscalish strip malls. In my hood they hang out in front of the Blockbuster at Bison and MacArthur in Newport Beach. They're easy to spot by the cars they drive and the goofy soccer stickers (Chivas) they put on em. It's kinda like a Park N Ride.
World Cup soccer reference follows:
Goooooaaaaaaaalllllllll !!! ;-)
"...land that the state didn't even know it owned. "
you know gubmint is bloated when they have land they don't know they own.
BTW, nice pics. We'll take our victories where we can get them.
Thanks very much for the pictures. I was listening to Roberts on 760 am yesterday, and he was promoting this, as well as another protest in San Diego.
good job...now just pack up all the flags & Minutemen friends and come to several infested Home Depot outlets in LA. The illegals have take over those 'parking lots' and turned them into rancid swap meets with their vendor tents selling pirated movies & CDs and guitars. Where the HD store managers?
Unbelievable, has to be seen.
Hurry.
PS..Don't shop at Home Depot stores !!!!!
Congratulations to everyone who made this happen.
It wasn't easy. It took awhile. But it got done!
Self-government works, even in California, sometimes. ;-)
I am a witness to this, I have seen it too!!
Great job!
Please keep up the good work.

OMG, if that were going on in my town I'd blow a fuse. Sounds like folks in your area need to band together and do just as the folks in these pictures did!
And boycott Home Depot if they are enabling it.
To add: Carry huge signs.....anyone who hires illegal aliens is subject to RICO prosecution.
Home Depots, if cooperating, may also be considered to be enabling and encouraging illegal immigration. Perhaps just a call from a few friends to the store manager advising them of that fact would make a difference.
I know Laguna Canyon Road well, and it's a beautiful area. Our son got married at the beautiful Tivoli Terrace chapel years ago.
The last thing in the world that area (or any area) needs is hordes of illegal aliens hanging around stealing the jobs that AMERICANS WILL DO FOR FAIR PAY!
There is a city built day-labor site here in my city. drove by yesterday on the way to do chores and it is going strong...

Been there, did that. Got a nasty response. Wrote to City councilpersons, local community councils and got no even a responsive email back. Stronger measures are being planned with cameras, signs, newmedia, and flags in the near future.
Also, I would like to specifically know where she went and read about the ownership of that piece of land. Instructions please.
It is suspected that the Glendale Day Laborer Center, on San Fernando Blvd across from a Home Depot, is on public land too. It's along the MetroLink Amtrack railroad right of way. Need to prove it to Glendale city officials.
Let me know here or by PM'ing me.
thanks
PS...you would think a smart local news reporter would be doing this for a great story.
1st Form a neighborhood watch group
2nd Name it Interested Neighbors Service
3rd **very important** register this name with the local officials
4th Make up black shirts with the group's initials on them I N S
5th Take a short walk up to the local 7-11 every morning.
6th Watch the illegals scatter.
