This is how you make peace.

FYI, similar news story
already posted on FR here. Good discussion.
Anbout time Israel made it clear that Hamas and its leadership will be held directly and individually responsible.

Hamas called the tune. Now it's time to pay the fiddler.

Crap! How did I blow that?!
Admin - please pull from breaking (and FR, if desired)...if you think it's worth it, I would suggest putting the thread linked by Jeff Head under 'breaking news'. Thanks.

I think it should be in breaking news though.

Relatives of Jewish settler Eliyahu Pinchas Asehri during his funeral in Jerusalem, Thursday, June 29, 2006. Asheri was kidnapped by Palestinian militants on Sunday and his body was found on Thursday buried near the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Mr Olmert said the military would leave the strip if he was unconditionally and safely returned.<<
What about the shelling of Sderot? Will that be allowed to continue as before?
To: soccer8
No other sources have reported this and there are NO quotes. Sorry to bold that, but this seems like an attempt to make Israelis look as bad as the Palestinians who kidnap and kill.

There is NO source that quotes Israeli leaders saying they will assassinate Abbas. The title should be changed.

I understand that. It doesn't make the title factual.

Abbas is the President.
Ismael Haniyeh is the Prime Minister.
The PM is the one who is threatened.
Heh...

Can you provide quotes where Israel is saying the PM (Haniyeh) will be assassinated?

Then it would seem your beef is with "The Australian."
To: KJC1
It's in the first line of this thread.
"ISRAEL last night threatened to assassinate Palestinian Prime Minister Ismael Haniyeh if Hamas militants did not release a captured Israeli soldier unharmed."
Is that what you were seeking?

Not at all. My beef is with FReepers taking MSM articles at face value without direct and verfiable quotes.
