How about if the Union just disappears? You get my vote!
That would certainly fit the moto Not Working Together.

... Of course, a HS dropout would have no chance of making $125K/year tightening a bolt repeatedly, but..... So that was my mistake. I kept going to college to get a Ph.D. and I still don't make that much money...

Yes it would. Heck, there are no unions in Japan and their autoworkers are paid better, have better benefits, and usually retire younger. We might look into that model, eh?

Too bad G.M. and Ford can't just pay them based on the number of cars that roll off the line are sold.

Gee, do I buy this overpriced POS just so Bill Ford can make more cars to keep the "job bank" going while he takes out full page ads in gay magazines, or buy this well made Toyota that will give my family the maximum value for our hard earned dollars?
Gee Wally, what do I do?

Line workers, even the UAW ones, don't pull down quite that much. My best guess on a NUMMI(UAW) line team memeber will make about 65k this year. Still not bad.
Some of the skilled trades pull down over 100k with overtime.
