CHICAGO, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- As more foreign auto manufacturers open assembly plants in the U.S., the notion of "buying American" has taken on new meaning. With the 4th of July Holiday upon us, Cars.com has created the American Made Index to help consumers identify the top ten vehicles that are truly the most American in terms of their parts, where they're produced and that are popular with U.S. buyers. As expected, many traditional American manufacturers have made the top ten; however, several Toyota vehicles including the Toyota Camry, Camry Solara and the Siena also made the top ten.

Yes it would. Heck, there are no unions in Japan and their autoworkers are paid better, have better benefits, and usually retire younger. We might look into that model, eh?
Gee, do I buy this overpriced POS just so Bill Ford can make more cars to keep the "job bank" going while he takes out full page ads in gay magazines, or buy this well made Toyota that will give my family the maximum value for our hard earned dollars?

Line workers, even the UAW ones, don't pull down quite that much. My best guess on a NUMMI(UAW) line team memeber will make about 65k this year. Still not bad.
Some of the skilled trades pull down over 100k with overtime.
