I caught the last part of it...it was at the beginning of the show. I didn't see all of the coverage, but what I saw was really heartwarming.

I have never forgotten that Koizumi gave the President a mounted, antique samurai arrow as a gift in the months after 9/11. The press ignored this, but it was a high honor.
