You're preaching to the choir. Brando's character Terry Malloy is the alter ego of Elia Kazan. Kazan was a hero to reveal the Stalinists who infested Hollywood during the early Cold War years. The crimes and genocide perpetrated under the name of communism completely vindicates Kazan. If I had a small fortune, I would build a statue/monument to Elia Kazan and his rebuke of communism right in the heart of Hollyweird on Hollywood Blvd.
