Stillwater thieves are stealing property especially valuable at this time of year – American flags.
Police say they know of at least five flag thefts from front lawns and porches.
“It was late at night, it was about midnight or one in the morning ... I heard somebody outside the house and then run off,” says Bill Barr.
Barr says the following morning he found his flagpole, stripped of the Stars and Stripes.
“I was just very disappointed and sad that that's what they took,” he says.
As a Vietnam Veteran, Barr says he feels victimized.
Police suspect the thieves may be youths.
They currently have no suspects, but say they’ll prosecute anyone caught stealing flags.

Such actions are the result of an upbringing that lacks respect or embraces outright anti-Americansism.
Stillwater would be your basic BLUE city.

Little bastids would benefit from a world class asskicking. But that'll never happen.
I'm not sure that there were that many RPYS in Stillwater.

I've replaced a couple of flags at Mom's house. (not in Stillwater).
The perps (cowards) have now resorted to throwing eggs at an 88 year old woman's house.
I've placed a call to the local Police Chief in her town.
The Chief and I grew up and attended public schools together from the third grade through high school graduation.
It went something like this: "Scott, if you can't do something about this, I will."
Scott said: "I believe you. I'll be right over."
Yeah, I'm not surprised about no RPYS in Stillwater.
I grew up on the Iron Range; you think unreconstructed southerners are boneheaded.
