"The comment "seared in my memory" with respect to a Nixon administration that hadn't taken office yet sending him on a covert (and hence undocumented) secret mission to Cambodia during the Christmas of 1968 is so blatantly in error that one suspects its source might be in the comic books."

Yep. People can speculate, but it all comes down to The Hat.

Stan, I agree that the Christmas in Cambodia BIG LIE is one of the two items that can skewer Mister Kerry politically.

It's one of those inescapable BIG LIES of the Hillary Rodham-- Edmond Hillary namesake sort, for which there is no twisting loose.

The other Kerry kaboshing item was mentioned by the author of the article.

There are the questions the Swifties raised about his honorable discharge, a mysterious discharge not issued until several years after he was out of the Navy and then only issued by President Jimmy Carter in the midst of his amnesty program for draft dodgers.

As many suspect, the probability that Lieutenant Kerry received a less than honorable discharge is the single largest issue that will turn voters off. (Leftist mind control agents can spin away medal tossing and Congressional testimony hi-jinx, but not a DD).
