Governor Schwarzenegger is in San Diego Thursday, encouraging people to vote for Jessica's Law, which would strengthen punishments for sexual predators.

If passed, Jessica's Law would be the toughest sex-predator law in the country.

While Arnold is campaigning FOR tough measures against sexual predators targeting children, Anglides hadn't made up his mind whether or not to support it.

Angelides (the Democrat running against Arnold for governor of CA) hasn't yet decided on sex offender initiative. (Jessica's Law)

Let's see if you can find some convincing arguments to support Arnold that DON'T mention Angelides.

By the way have you been writing the Victory 2006 recruitment meeting speeches? Cause that's what they keep saying around the state when people ask why they should work their butt of for this big rich liberal. They have nothing to say about Arnold, just Angelides.

Jessica's Law needs Arnold's strength behind it, and all the support it can get.

Schmidt is going to dance with the gal he brought. Republicans are in for a long summer of comparative analysis.

It's a wise strategy. A liberal always looks better than a socialist when viewed from the middle.

The alternative, working with Schwarzenegger's record, is beyond Schmidt's capability and would pose a monumental credibility gap for even the average Republican.

That record, a crushing load of liberalism, is just too much for one campaign manager to push uphill if the faithful few, the twenty mules, grow weary in the stretch.

Best advice. Get used to Angelides bad, the Austrian better. The repetative refrain is on an LP and FO has got it cued up.

Between the two of them... its not exactly a cheerful choice. But Angelides has never met a tax he didn't like. I'll be out of this state before they have a chance to hike my tax burden.

There's a simple and fundamental truth:

Voting for a liberal will not advance the cause of conservatism.

...regardless of the wails of the moderate sirens.

Californian conservatives can vote for anyone they choose. Even themselves, if faced with a choice between a socialist and a liberal. There are many, conservative Republicans certified by the Secretary of State to run for governor.

Vote your conscience. Sleep well that night. Regardless of who wins, it won't be worse than it is right now.

Have had a bad day today and it just brought a smile to my face to come to FR, scroll down the sidebar and see the words "Jessica's Law," whether it passes or not - I'm just glad there is such a thing in our language and it's being spread around. RIP, sweet baby. Kudos again to daddy Mark.

That "Vote your conscience" refrain gave us Clinton.

This is a zero-sum game: It's Arnold or Angelides. You either vote for Arnold or you're giving Angelides a freebie.

Should Angelides win, don't expect a "true blue conservative" to defeat him in 2010.

Let me think. Where have I heard that nonsense before? Can't recall but I'm almost sure that some moderate, CAGOP hack has been peddling that line furiously on the forum.

The sky will fall ..., the sky will fall ... the sky will fall ... if you don't vote for the Austrian liberal.

BTW - If you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Odd that The Govenator didn't take the opportunity to push his support for Jessica's Law during his speech to The Log Cabin Republicans.

Or did he? Any DUmmies lurking who may be able to attest to this?
