Put them all to trial and punishment!
To: Aussie Dasher
Notice who is silent on this issue...little reaction.
Why have the Democrats suddenly lost their voice....they see this for what it is...a politcal trap.
Bush lost...but won in the long run.

I hope Bush's legal team takes their time in formulating a further course of action, and that the Congress also stretches this thing out. Let those thugs sweat it out in their Club Gitmo.

Give them all to Fidel as pay back for the 1977 boat lift! They gave us Tony Montana, give him Adulla Mohammad!

Joining Stevens in the majority were justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen G. Breyer, Anthony M. Kennedy and David H. Souter. Dissenting were justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr.

US President George W Bush said that a US Supreme Court ruling on the fate of Guantanamo Bay detainees would not set any suspected terrorists free and that he still hoped to try them in military courts. God bless this guy. He has the hardest job in the world, fighting both worldwide networks - Islamicists and the left - that want to dance on America's ashes. The Republicans in Congress who should be backing him up gladly sell him out whenever they smell a political advantage.
Thanks for keeping up the fight, Mr. President. I really don't know what keeps you going.

Good point, it's been a deafening silence from the Demagogues today...... they want to cheer loudly and bash Bush, but they (maybe) are struggling with what could be a huge trap with the electorate - let's hope a majority of the public can see that the SCOTUS has overstepped its authority (just what they accused Pres. Bush of doing) and that those fools such as the ACLU types who want to treat terrorist captives as protected by the Geneva Conventions and civilian legal norms are moonbats.

Personally, I am not in favor of trials. First, we don't need to try them in order to keep them in jail. The Geneva Convention allows us to keep them in jail until the hostilities cease, and that won't happen in their lifetime. Second, the liberal judges will just exonerate them anyway. All it does is give the judiciary an opportunity to screw up, which they can't resist doing.

Oh for heaven's sake. Tie them up, put them on a cargo plane to their home country and at 30000 feet tilt the plane with the cargo door open.
If they accidentaly slide out simply declare it as lost cargo.

If I read it correctly, the SCOTUS said we can keep them locked up for the duration of the war.
Since JWB has said this war may last for generations they won't be getting out soon.

I'm sorry, these terrorists should have been shot dead on the battlefield. To detain and pamper them and afford them Constitutional rights where they clearly don't have any just reeks.

Good point, it gets harder to identify the enemy with each passing day
those robes should be traded for straight jackets
I'm surprised they didn't rule that a terrorist has a right to choose what he wants do do with his body, somehow based on the constitution

Actually the Dems were not as silent as you think. Pelosi called the court's ruling a "triumph".
Money quote:
Todays Supreme Court decision reaffirms the American ideal that all are entitled to the basic guarantees of our justice system. This is a triumph for the rule of law
http://democraticleader.house.gov/press/releases.cfm?pressReleaseID=1659
Ultimately falling on the same side as Osama's body guard. I think this plays right in the President and Republicans hands. He will ask congress for these military trials. I would love to see the Dems try and weasel out of this one. If they refuse then they will be on the same side as Al-Qaeda if they go along with it the left wing kookery will go nuts.
