This thread is a marvel of infallible spectators.
It is not about being infallible. It is about making your children your top priority, nothing more, nothing less.
"This thread is a marvel of infallible spectators."
Amen. I wonder if it get tiresome being perfect and never a worry that they'll be the next one in a news article discussed on FR.
Not everyone wants to be a full-time stay at home parent and this does not means one intentially harms their children by leaving them in a car. I am not a feminist nazi, but I do believe satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment for an individual comes from a variety of source. I've been a full-time working mom and and full-time stay at home mom while raising my children. Neither of these options was completely fulfilling but a balance between the two was.
WEll just Da*m!
You managed to say in just 7 words what I've been trying to say in post after post~
I'm feeling I'm so out of step with the crowd in here, I was wondering if I'd inadvertently stumbled into a DU site
Isn't it, though! I tend to laugh off such assinine comments as "Well, when *I* have children..." and "I would NEVER..." - they used to bother the heck out of me. I just know when these "perfect" people live in the real world of parenting, they'll get a hard dose of reality. All in due time, folks, all in due time.... This is a very tragic story, but do we need to have so many FReepers jump on the "all working mothers are selfish evil snobs" bandwagon? Come on, folks. Judge not lest ye be judged....watch yourselves.
