Oh please, now there is something wrong with saying that you wouldn't forget your dog, much less your own child?
If your child is your top priority, these things would not happen.

It must be comforting to know one is infallible There is a difference between "infallibility" and leaving a baby to suffocate in a hot car.
I am a very absent-minded person, my kids like to make jokes about my absent-mindedness, but none of them ever suffocated in a hot car because of it.
I once left a quart of ice cream to die in the hot car.
