If we are truly going to fight a war on terror then we have to fight all of the terrorist states, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afganistan, and whoever else. They have brought this on themselves. You cannot be diplomatic with them, they don't understand the concept. If your house was infested with roaches you wouldn't kill them off one at a time, you'd set a bomb off and keep doing it until they were all gone.
