Proud to say I've never once watched "The View", and wouldn't recognize Star Jones if she knocked at my front door.

Yup, I have seen the show on TV and after watching it for
a few minutes, I have to turn away. Nowadays,it holds my interest
for about 5 seconds. Each of their opinions is so
shallow in its' analysis, I get a feeling I am watching
two year olds play with, or fight over a toy.
Why do we , as people, ascribe a higher sense of importance
to others who sit in front of an electronic/chemical light capture
device, and "talk" or pretend they are someone else?

Think of it this way, you can live without the "view".
But you won't live long or well without garbage collection.
