But thanks to the citys squatters-rights law, evacuees here were safe. Their rooms werent paid for, but since theyd been in them for more than 30 days, the hotels couldnt just kick them out. Only a judges order could evict them.Do you think any judge in NYC is gonna throw this guy out on his lazy butt? Sounds like the libs in NYC created this ongoing problem, and this shiftless guy is just taking advantage of the situation. Hmmm. I wonder who made him aware of this squatter's rights.

Heh...they should wait for the guy to go for his free food and lock him out of the room.

I spent my money just the way I wanted, and I think [fema] should send me some more, he says. Guys like this are the reason that racist stereotypes exist.
So hes stuck, at least until the Holiday Inn pays him to leave.
Pay him to leave? Call in a couple of Brooklyn's finest and have them throw him in the street for 300 bucks.

We are short one Blanco voter for the time being! Hopefully he will blow his $1200 buyout from the hotel before he buys a ticket back to LA.

Believe it or not, that would be illegal. As would turning off the water, heat or electricity. The hotel, who is the victim here, would be criminally liable if they locked this nonpaying lazy POS out of the room that they own.
Gotta love NY huh?
However, I don't see why they don't pull out the cable to the TV. That would get rid of him.
