War Is Deceit

• While international opprobrium focuses again on Israel for a supposedly errant rocket attack last Friday that killed eight Palestinians on a Gaza beach, it has become increasingly apparent that the victims were actually killed by Hamas explosives.

Palestinian Media Watch reports that “Palestinian Authority TV has been repeatedly broadcasting a falsified video clip of the events surrounding the deaths of seven family members on the Gaza beach on Friday. In an attempt to blame Israel's navy for the deaths, PA TV took unrelated video of an Israeli missile boat firing at Gaza earlier in the day and edited them into the scenes, creating the impression [of] Israeli responsibility….

How can a mathematical ratio be unconscionable? 4 to 1 plums over pears. 4 to 1 dogs over cats. Here you have an ongoing war in which one side's losses are 4 to 1 compared to the other side's losses. How can that be unconscionable? It can mean one side is winning and one side is losing, but that's not unconscionable. It's war.

If your point is that palestinians are being slaughtered, and therefore the actions of the Israelis are unconscionable, I would ask this: Perhaps more palestinians are being killed because more palestinians are shooting, blowing up bombs, and otherwise threatening the lives of Israelis. In which case it's not unconsionable. It's self-defense.

Furthermore, if your point is that yes this is war, but the Israelis are waging it in an unbalanced manner - killing many more palestinians that is necessary - then you must offer up some evidence of situations where killing fewer palistinians would have achieved the level of security sought by the Israelis doing the killing. Some would argue that given the length of this war, the Israelis haven't killed enough people fast enough, and therefore the ratio should be higher.

None of this enters the realm of the unconscionable.

Indeed ....what has Israel gained since it yeilded Sinai to Egypt,...thanks to the Complete Traitor Jimmy Carter?

Many times indeed, foreign ships with weapons were handled thru Egyptian controller of Suez, to top off with weapons in Alexandria....and then dump offshore from Gaza...and then onto Lebanon or Syria.
Hamas recently brought in hundreds of thousands in cash in suitcases thru Egyptian border to Gaza.
Now Pharaoh Mubaraks butt clenches as Israel has grabbed some of the mules in the recent Parliment grab.
Egypt is highly culpable for the death which occurs in Israel,...yet narry a word is spoken by U.S. State Dept, or Israel for that matter.
This is Israels Ho Chi Minh trail.
Not a chance Hamas gets this high up the ladder without Egypts help.
Nothing will change for Israel until they hammer on Egypt and Syria.[The root of the problem]
